Where does this data come from?
Every listing is built from public records: county zoning and planning filings, utility interconnection queues, press releases, and local news. Community members can also submit tips, which we verify before they go live.
What does the confidence label mean?
It tells you how well-documented a listing is. 'Confirmed' means we have an official filing or utility record. 'Unverified' or 'Single tip' means it came from one source we're still checking, so treat it with more caution.
Why should I care about data centers near me?
Large AI data centers can draw enormous amounts of electricity and water, affect local utility rates, and reshape land use. Knowing about them early gives you a chance to weigh in before decisions are final.
What can I actually do about one?
Open any listing and you'll find the officials who represent you, from your county planning board up to your members of Congress, with one-tap ways to call or email them. Planning and zoning decisions especially happen at the local level, where your voice carries the most weight.
